Stories To Think About And Reflect On
Back in 2005 someone asked me for my thoughts. Being a private person, and as it was not work related, I held back. Subsequently I was challenged for not being forthcoming with my feelings. Being self-aware, I immediately recognised my shortcoming. This incident reignited a passion within me to record my thoughts and dreams in prose. I remember doing this as a school age boy. This blog FromMyDeskAtHome records my life’s stories, my learnings and accumulated wisdom from experiences gathered over the years. May these encourage and spur your passion to do great things and fulfill the giftings within you as you reflect on each article.

I have been working for over 40 years and now as I enter the next chapter of life, as "Papa" to my grandchildren, still "Dad" to my two children and "Darl" to my beautiful wife of over 35 years, I thought I'd share my many stories via this blog site.
As a first generation migrant to Australia from Singapore, the 70's was a decade of growing up in a strange land. The 80's was when I moved to Melbourne from Perth to craft a career. With a young family in the 90's for me was an exciting time of rapid maturity. Then came the 2000's and now the 20's of accomplishments, reflection and new challenges. I have been writing newsletters for colleagues from 2005 and since then I have shared these with many relatives and friends locally and abroad.
Who knows where this will lead me and how these stories will impact my readers.
